She led the second graders in an activity where they got to use basic circuitry and measuring skills to create “magic wands.” Students used mini LED lights, coin cell batteries, straws, and copper tape. They explored, questioned, and problem-solved. It was amazing to watch! Our next step will be to make a switch for our wands so we can turn them on and off!
On Thursday, several classes in our school got to work with a woman named Lucie deLaBruere. I met Lucie at a tech conference and knew immediately that I needed to get her to our school.
