Today we started a new science unit on the states of matter: solids, liquids, and gasses. Today the kids explored all three states, but weren't yet given the vocabulary. That is coming tomorrow! They were very excited to see the different balloons pop.

Our class spent a few days learning who Martin Luther King was, and what life was like during the Civil Rights Movement. At the end of the mini unit we came up with dreams we have to make our world a better place.
Sorry these pictures are almost a month late! The whole school went skating at Jay Peak and had a GREAT time! (Not sure why the photos uploaded side-ways...) Right before winter vacation (hence the pajamas) the student's presented a story to the class. They practiced all week and were very excited to share with their peers. The 3rd grade class had shared a story with us a week before, and as soon as the performance was done, the 2nd graders were asking if they could do a Reader's Theater performance, too!
