We started the day with a share of our 100 things. It's always fun to see what everyone brings in and hear their reasons for picking their items. We have quite the collection hanging up in the hallway.
In math we continued to practice adding and subtracting 3 digit numbers with regrouping (as well as a quick review of expanded form). We solved several problems and then used our answers to create a BINGO board for a quick game of Groundhog BINGO.
Literacy rotations were the usual, but we did do a 100th day Read Aloud and a fun fill-in-the blank writing prompt (these will come home soon).
Most of our afternoon was taken up with specials (art & PE....where Mr. Rivard did some 100th day exercises) but we did have time to do a 100 item picture find as well as make necklaces with 100 beads. We also continued to practice writing opinion pieces with the prompt: Do you think it will be fun to be 100?
My favorite part of the day? Seeing the kids dressed as 100-year-olds. Everyone looked so AWESOME!
